Baths of Diocletian

The Baths of Diocletian were the largest of all public baths in Rome. The complex included frigidarium, caldarium, and gymnasiums. When the site was later repurposed for Christian worship, Michelangelo was tasked with modifying a portion of the space to create Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri.
