Description

This Statue is located inside of the Musei Capitolini at Piazza del Campidoglio, 1, 00186 Roma RM. Initially, it was located near the Lateran, then in Piazza del Campidoglio. Now, the gilded-bronze original is kept inside to conserve it, and a copy is kept outside in the Piazza. It depicts the emperor Marcus Aurelius on a horse, sans-stirrups, raising his hand as if greeting troops or showing victory.
