The Dying Gaul

The Dying Gaul.jpg
This is a sculpture of a defeated Gaul dying. We know that he is a Gaul from his torque, mustache, and beard. Even though he is an enemy, he depicts a certain strength. Some believe that it is a copy of an earlier Greek work. The work is now housed at the Capitoline Museum.
